Crashing Cloth

Tucson, Arizona. A certain blogger and friends have obtained tickets to the "invitation only" cloth fest TREO will hold at the Westin La Paloma on Thursday, April 3rd, at 4 PM. Roach and his band of do nothing goons will be on parade in suits taking credit for every investment, every job, every lease, every loan, every sale, and every new tenant into any space anywhere. If you bought a burger at In&Out last week, that economic development was the result of TREO's spectacular performance. Nothing in this town economic happens outside of TREO's awesome horsepower.

Supporters are encouraging me to attend and confront the insect right at the podium about his theft of funds allocated to other agencies.

They want a scene like Harrison Ford at the banquet in The Fugitive where I walk to the front of the room during scum's address and confront the SOB about his crimes. Over thirty people currently attending have promised they will stand and cheer as I step on stage and demand an explanation.

Should I do it? You only live once.

sounds like a setup. why would they invite a man who is probably the most hostile man in tucson to their event? Maybe in the hopes you would do something like that?

If you go. . . make sure to have copies of the information that you have posted on your blog for the media outlets to diges. . . salivate over.

That said, GIVE 'EM HELL !

I fully expect you to pull a Woodward & Bernstein on these snakes. Theft of tax dollars, no matter to whom they are allocated, is still theft. Theft of tax dollars that were allocated to Goodwill and an organization specifically designed to help people learn to help themselves is institutional evil.

There is no way in hell that TREO invited x4mr to that event.

NO WAY.

Clearly someone has given their invitation to him. I know something about x4mr that is relevant here, but I will not say until later. Look deeper.

I am very curious as to which RSVP name corresponds to x4mr's slot. Maybe he'll go as Johnson Bia from PCC.

He can't go as Jana Kooi.

What a treat to see x4mr stand up in front of everyone, tear off his Johnson Bia costume, and ask why they took the $162,500.

The problem that I see is that they will read this post and be ready for him.

I agree with texpatriate in that X4mr should have documentation.

Other than that, I suspect that Snell or whoever is facilitating the freak show will attempt to provoke X4mr so that he becomes or appears to be "disruptive."

I am curious about the "something deeper" that CM claims to know.

What is perhaps not clear is that if x4mr enters that room as himself, he does not have to say anything. His very presence would be deafening.

He is not invited. If he tries to attend, they will physically prevent him from getting inside.

Or perhaps. . . he doesn't have to say anything. I know that silkscreen shops are usually happy to have some extra business. A shirt with the url for Something Else printed prominently on it might be enough.

After all, citizens can still wear the clothing of their choice, can't they ?

Goodness, but I need a mop. It seems my chair is now surrounded by a puddle of malicious righteousness. . . =P

You get 'em, Matt ! We're all pulling for you ! Wave your hat for extra points !

Alright, I have just given this some thought.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have learned that the way to disseminate a story is to have a video.

Take Hillary Clinton and her "35 years of experience" as an example. Her big electability advantage over Obama and Edwards supposedly was her "experience" and, for the most part, she was taken at her word. Finally, questions were asked and she began speaking more specifically of some of her contributions to foreign policy while Bill was president. The scrutiny begins, but the audience is still fairly small.

THEN, a video contradicting her account of her "dangerous" trip to Bosnia surfaces, and suddenly, everyone knows that Hillary and most of her "35 years of experience" has more to do with tea and crumpets than negotiation and deal making.

Videos contrasting lies with reality seem to be a very effective means of communication.

The thought of x4mr wearing a Johnson Bia costume...

Ha! Ha! Ha!
(gasp)
Ha! Ha! Ha!

Something Else, the motion picture!

I want to see the scene where DF flees the meeting with that female CEO, and of course, the 2/15 board meeting where Vaughn skewers the cementheads.

We could have a scene where x4mr is sitting in a film noir barely lit room, drinking scotch and smoking a cigar, blogging, wondering if he is going to fired the next day.

The idea of wearing a Johnson Bia costume just kills me.

Oh, god.. This blog really is "Something Else."

The idea of the Johnson Bia costume is intriguing and pretty funny. The man is probably the most impeccably dressed in Tucson. He is also certain to be going. I laughed, too, doc.

Cigar Man, got your email, and your insight is spot on. For obvious reasons I want to wait, but will share with others at the right time.

Of course they did not invite me.

They are taking credit for Bio5's big NSF grant.

The newspapers are big into taking videos of events for their web sites so maybe they will shoot some and then you movie makers can craft a little moving picture show for this blog.

oh, well, then. If you weren't "invited" then I suppose that changes everything. way pull the context out from under me dude!

Come on, guys.

X4mr is WAY too smart to do anything like barge into an event like that all huffy puffy.

If he goes, he will be dressed to the nines and well behaved, sit with people he knows, and bask in the discomfort of those trying not to stare.

Nav is correct, of course. x4mr is not on the invitation list of an invitation only event, and now that they know (yes, they read the blog as do many others) he may show up, they will prepare the most quiet and effective way to block his entrance.

He knows this, of course.

Given his computer skills and greater access to their place than they realize, I would foresee something more subtle that cannot be tied to him, like a flash file swap that slightly alters the powerpoint slides, inserting a slide in the same format that looks like part of the presentation that reads:

"Increased cash reserves $162,500 by taking funding for other agencies"

and another slide that reads:

"Destroyed Augie Garcia's Inland Port Project"

and maybe something about businesslinc or the training grants. A picture of a cockroach would be rather amusing. I also like that picture of Al Pacino, "You know what hosser is?"

I'm not as smart as he is, so if he is going to do something, it is probably outside the box and something none of us would anticipate.

Remember, x4mr is a master of room configurations and events where people gather for presentations, classes, etc., that involve technology, presentations, and food.

Remember the original Thomas Crown Affair? He doesn't have to be there.

Geez, Observer. Most creative, but you think I'm a terrorist?

You are SO inside the box. Hint: How does one jump over one's knees?

Roger,
Why would you be shocked? Have you not learned? They take credit for EVERYTHING. A gas station on 22nd hires another cashier, and TREO just created a job. I bought $200 worth of roof coating for my house last month. That's capital investment TREO produced for the community.

Hey Roger--

They have attached themselves to it.
